1. Who we are

WhoKeepsCallingMe.uk is a community-powered directory of UK phone numbers. Our website address is https://whokeepscallingme.uk.

2. What data we collect

When you search a number: We log the number searched and the date (not your IP address or identity). This is used to track how many times a number has been searched.

When you submit a report: We store the report category, optional comment, and a one-way hash of your IP address (which cannot be reversed to identify you). If you are logged in, your username is linked to the report.

When you create an account: We store your email address, username, and a hashed (bcrypt) password. We never store your password in plain text.

When you pay for a verification badge: Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store card details. We receive a payment reference and your business information.

3. How we use your data

  • To display community reports and spam scores on number pages
  • To prevent abuse and rate-limit report submissions
  • To send account-related emails (verification, password reset)
  • To process verification badge payments
  • To improve the service through anonymised analytics

4. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies. Google AdSense (our advertising partner) may set cookies — please refer to Google's Privacy Policy for details.

5. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

  • Stripe — for payment processing
  • Google AdSense — for serving advertisements

6. Data retention

Account data is retained until you request deletion. Reports are retained indefinitely as they form part of the public directory. IP hashes used for rate limiting are retained for 30 days.

7. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at our contact page.
